How to Lend

  1. Using the 'Become a Lender' form, input the details of the item you would like to rent.
  2. Best Dressed will review your item.
  3. If accepted, you will receive an email confirmation and your item will be listed on Best Dressed and available to be rented.
  4. You will receive an email when a borrower requests to rent your item, you will have 24 hours to accept the borrow request.
  5. Once confirmed, you will receive an email with the rental order details and shipping label.
  6. You will be expected to ship your rental item to the borrower to arrive on or before Day 1 of the Rental Period.
  7. We manage all of the bookings and coordinate with your borrower on your behalf - and you earn 85% of the item rent price (before shipping fees)! 
  8. Once the rental period is over and the borrow is complete, you will receive payment.

    What is the Lender Wardrobe?

    The Lender Wardrobe is a peer-to-peer clothing rental marketplace where you can earn from items in your closet & save by borrowing from closets across Canada.

    How much do I earn?

    You earn 85% of the item rent price (an industry high) every time your item is rented!

    Do I have to pay for shipping?

    No! The Borrower pays for shipping as part of the Total Borrow price. When your item is rented, you are sent a prepaid shipping label.

    Who cleans the item?

    We find Lenders prefer to clean their own pieces to ensure they are taken proper care of.

    What if something happens to my rental item?

    We care about protecting our Lenders. In the event of a loss or damage, the Borrower is liable for the cost and you are protected. Please reach out to us at hello@bestdressed.ca to start a claim.

    What if I no longer want to rent my item?

    Please reach out to hello@bestdressed.ca to retire any listings.
