Terms and Conditions of Rental Agreement

  1. Upon renting, you assume responsibility for the care of the item. Please handle each rented garment with care. You will be accountable for any loss, damage, or destruction beyond repair and will be charged for the full retail value of the dress (in addition to rental fees already paid).  Normal wear and tear (such as small stains, minor rips along seams or other minor damages are covered if you buy the $10 insurance. If you choose not to buy the $10 insurance and damage the dress, you will be responsible for any costs needed to fix damages. Best Dressed reserves the right to assess whether damages exceed the standard wear and tear allowance.
  2. Once you collect or receive your item, it is considered rented for the agreed-upon period. Unfortunately, if you choose not to wear it, we cannot provide a refund or credit.
  3. Please note that your rental item has been worn before and may not be in brand-new condition. We thoroughly clean and inspect all garments before each rental, but as we are a sustainable company, minor wear and tear may remain.
  4. Late returns will incur a $25 per item per day late fee, strictly enforced. Timely returns allow us to prepare the item for the next rental period. Late fees apply only if items are postmarked after the agreed return date. You will not be charged a late fee if the delay is due to the carrier.
  5. Please refrain from dry cleaning the item; we handle dry cleaning as part of the rental cost. Simply return the item in person or use the provided pre-paid box.
  6. Avoid using perfumes, body oils and lotions near the garment, as they can be difficult to remove. Any oil or spray tan stains upon return will result in additional charges for cleaning. If you opt for a spray tan, or self-tan please ensure the tan is completely washed off prior to trying on and/or wearing the garment.
  7. No alterations, including temporary hem tape, are allowed on the items. You are responsible for any seamstress fees needed to rectify alterations.
  8. Failure to return items will be treated as theft and charged at full retail value, along with any rental or late fees already paid. 
  9. By booking a rental with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.
